Hi Richard,
I tried this with two separate decks. Layout some cards, Create a Reading and for some reason, the card notes appear twice, one under the other, for each card.
This may be a bug.

I just had this problem too, only I'm still on the latest non-beta version, 7.3.0.2.

I have managed to get to the bottom of this one too...
The situation arises when you have the option All Notes selected in your reading template. This means that both upright notes and reversed notes will be included in the reading.
When a deck contains both upright and reversed notes then both of these will show, which is what you would expect. But when a deck only contains upright notes, then for the reversed notes the program will supply you with the upright notes.
This makes sense in the context of normal program use (i.e. outside reading mode): you have five cards out, one of which is reversed. The deck only contains upright notes. Four of the cards are upright and one is reversed. It would not be helpful for four of the cards to show popup notes and the reversed one to show nothing. The assumption is that where there are no reversed notes, the upright notes are considered general and still applicable. Of course, in the context of the reading wizard described above this doesn't make such good sense!
I have changed the behaviour in the latest cut of the beta (uploaded today) so that this is corrected - the wizard suppresses the reversed notes if they are the same as the upright ones.
