Hi!
For those who are developing their own interpretive text, I have something that may be of interest. I’ve designed a utility spread for a 78 card deck. What is does is lay out all the cards, which can be presorted in ascending or descending order. Use the reading notes to save to a .rtf file, open the file in a word processing program, (I use Microsoft Word), and you’re ready to go. Use the highlight-copy-paste function to insert your own text into the card notes.
While the screen images are small, this method sure saves time – and you can check your grammar and spelling!

It’s been uploaded as Text Utility Spread – 78 cards.
Here are a few tips and tricks for anyone using this utility with Microsoft Word and Orphalese: (These are also included in the uploaded spread file.)
Orphalese settings:
Move the full deck to the upper right hand corner of the screen before activating the spread.
You may need to resize the cards (use the + - keys) so the entire spread fits on the screen.
Try using with or without popup card notes. See what works best for you.
Resize the card notes dialogue box to the lower part of the screen, making it the full screen width and minimum screen height. Experiment with this sizing.
When working with the last one or two rows, right click on the upper left-hand corner of the card notes dialogue box, select “move” and drag the box up. It’s easier to work with the last row this way.
Saving the .rtf file:
Choose a distinctive filename (i.e.: Froggy Tarot - in progress) to avoid accidentally overwriting all your work!
Microsoft Word settings:
Before entering text, decide on your formatting style. Do you want to capitalize the card names? How do you want your line/paragraph spacing? Be consistent in your style! Your finished product will look much more professional.
Show formatting characters. Do this by going to TOOLS/OPTIONS/VIEW. In the formatting marks section, click ALL and then OK. This is really helpful in avoiding weird line endings, extra lines, extra spaces, etc. However, if you don’t want these marks to show when working on “less important documents” .-) you will need to turn these settings off.
I’m sure there are other methods – these are the ones I use. Experiment!
