Bugs in Version 6.4

I am slightly dismayed at all the bug reports that are coming in about the new version, but please keep them coming!

I am taking careful note of all of them, although unfortunately I am probably not going to be able to look at fixing them until the third weekend in October. I know this is very frustrating but it is simply a case of bad timing.

Although the beta of 6.4 was available for several weeks I think that because of it being Summer, and a lot of people being away, it probably did not receive as much testing as a new release should.

I am especially concerned about an email I received saying that the program seems to be less stable and will just crash when nothing is happening. Has anyone else experienced this? Also I am a bit worried that there may be some problem with the current setup files - I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has successfully installed the program from zero (i.e. not an upgrade) since last Saturday (24th September).

I will try to fix the bugs on the Tarot Zone in the next couple of days, and either today or tomorrow I will release an update, but it will probably only fix one of the bugs in the program itself - the one relating to an error message appearing on some machines when the program is closed.

I am pleased to say that (I think!) I have managed to fix a few of the bugs that recently came to light. These include:

Screen Capture form not blowing up.
Non-rectangular decks keeping their shapes.
Spreads downloading with the correct file extension.

The bug that was causing the non-rectangular forms to play up was also affecting normal rectangular card in a subtle way, making them take longer to appear and slowing down the whole program. This effect would have been more pronounced the more cards were out of the deck.

Special thanks to everyone who has been pointing these bugs out to me and passing on the error messages.
