P2P exchange problems

Post by Crystalibran »

Hi,

I recently tried to download a new deck and was informed that I needed to download a new file as there as been an update to the system. After trying several times when I try to instal the EXE file I get the following messsage;
Cannot Instal: SETUP or INSTALL program filename contains folder information, Use Actions/Checkout instead.

Any ideas where I may be going wrong please. Thanks Phill

Hi Phill,

Sorry for the slow reply to this, I missed your post the last time I logged in.

I think the message you mean is the one you see when you try to search the Deck Exchange for available decks. It tells you that you are using an old version of the program and you need to upgrade. That would just be the regular setup program from the downloads page on the website.

Having googled the error message you are getting I think it is from winzip. Does this mean you downloaded the installation file (it is called tarotsetup.zip) and then were unable to extract the contents?

I am about to try and get away from the whole business of using zip files for the installation. It wasn't untill I recently had to reinstall nearly all the programs I use after a crash that I realised nobody uses winzip anymore in these situations - it is all click once and the installation files are kept on the server.

This is the method I am going to go over to. I will post back on this thread when I make this change.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Richard,

Will give it another go later in the week. have updated some program files that required updating, so hopefully should be ok now.
