Dear Programmer
It would be lovely if users could create spreads in which the cards could be placed in a spread in positions other than the vertical. Crossing cards - such in the Celtic Cross - cannot appear as such due to this restriction. One has to be content with overlaying cards in the vertical. As the look of a spread enhances its meaning, the same flexibility as in drawing programs to rotate cards would be a positive. What do you think?

Re: Program Suggestion: Rotated Cards in Spread Designer
Hi Mavis,
I agree this would be a really nice idea and I have thought about it from time to time over the years but unfortunately there are too many complications to make it work. In some ways it would be easier if the program were simpler, for example if it just drew the cards on a screen to create a fixed picture it would be quite easy to include the angled cards, but with the Orphalese Tarot each card is a window in itself which i why you can move them around the screen. It means they are somewhat limited to the up and down world of the Windows desktop. The other problem if I overcame that would be how to design the interface so the user could manually rotate the cards and position them correctly when creating a spread, because the user would need to be able to do everything manually to be consistent with the rest of the program. It is a great idea but I am afraid it is just too complicated to be feasible within the constraints I have at the moment.
