Orphalese Tarot Crashing after Vista Service Pack 2 Installe

I have trouble with using Orphalese after I installed Service Pack 2 for Vista. No matter what I do, (run as administrator, disableing UAC altogether, run in capatability mode with XP SP2) the program keep on crashing saying "Orphalese Tarot has stopped working". Not only that, even the installer no longer works as it kept on returning "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package...The error code is 2869" whenever I tried to install, uninstall, and repair. It seems like SP2 for Vista is returning all of these problematic security stuff again. Thank you.

Hi Enternal,

I decided to try this for myself. I installed Service Pack 2 on my Vista laptop and I don't seem to have any trouble running the program, and I was also able to install it in the normal way.

Did the problem show up straight after you installed SP2?

I wonder if anyone else has had similar issues?

I see. So it might actually be a specific problem for me due to my setup on my computer. Thanks for helping me though since you now verified that it's actually not due to SP2 but perhaps other factors as well. Hope there is some more replies here but as for now, I will try to find out exactly what is going on and if I'm able to figure it out, I will post what happens here. Thanks!

Ok,

It seems that the problem came from my corrupt installation of the .Net Framework. So after I did an reinstallation of the Framework, Orphalese works again. Anyway, thank you for the help.
