Downloaded upgrade but still cant access p2p

Hello,

I tried accessing the p2p this morning and it said I needed to update my version, so I deleted the old one and installed 8.7. I rebooted the comp, checked I had the windows net update but it is telling me to update again. I have installed the 8.7 version, is there another one? I am at a complete loss what to do, any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in replying to this, I am afraid I missed this message.

I know exactly when this happened, it was while I was testing some changes on the server a couple of Sunday's ago. I have a couple of warning messages that I can show to users by making a small change to the server code. One of them is "Sorry, the P2P Exchange is closed for routine maintenance" (or words to that effect) and the other one is "Sorry, you need to upgrade". What happened of course is that I accidentally set it to show the wrong message for two or three hours before I realised my mistake. There never was any need to upgrade, so apologies for that.

Of course, you should find that the P2P Exchange has worked OK subsequently, so please let me know if you still can't connect now.

I just upgraded, first to .NET version 4 and then to Orphalese Tarot 8.10. The program seems to be working fine so far, but I can't connect to the P2P page.

When trying to connect to the exchange, I get this mystifying error message:

I'm having the same problem. It worked fine until I downloaded the most recent update.

I think I have fixed what was causing the problem, and I just uploaded a new version of the program which contains the fix (8.10.1.1).

The program had been upgraded to use version 4 of the .NET Framework, but for a couple of operations it was still relying on the older .NET 2.0 technology. I am guessing that this was the cause of the problem, i.e. this bug would have only affected relatively new machines which never had the older version of .NET installed.

Yes, sorry I spoke too soon. I thought I had fixed it but obviously not. The problem of course being that it works perfectly on my own machine. I will post back as soon as I think I might have a definitive fix.

I have uploaded a new version 8.10.1.2 which should shed some more light on the problem by giving a more helpful error message. If anyone who has been having this problem could paste this message to clipboard and then send it to me or post it here I would be very grateful. Thanks!
