I received the following email which may be of interest to forum users, so I will quote it here in its entirety:

My name is Pieter Heydenrych. I am the webmaster and owner of a site called "Esoteric library" located at ( http://esoteric.2hav.net ), and I am contacting you because I believe that this may in fact interest you.

We have established a (FREE FOR ALL) internet based Esoteric library which offers totally free access to anyone who is seeking information on topics that could be construed as being esoteric in nature.

In order for us however to be more successful we need as many authors and articles as we can get on any related topics. Of course we will only allow articles that actually contain informative content, and since all articles are reviewed by human reviewers, this will ensure a top quality resource for all. Both old and new material is welcome.

Having had a quick look at your website, I believe that you may prove an ideal author for our resource, or that you may have contact with other authors that may have an interest. As such I would welcome any interest in helping us to develop this resource.

The benefit to you

Of course I can not expect you to have any interest without any benefit to you. So the benefits to you include primarily the following :

1. You are permitted to add an author bio to any and all articles submitted to us with links pointing to your site.

2. Our site has been developed to make finding and searching for specific information easier, by category or by searching the resource.

3. The site layout has been designed to be search engine friendly, and even though we are a fairly new resource, our site, as well as some of the articles published there, has already achieved top rankings in natural search results, with search engines including Google, Yahoo, Altavista, Alltheweb and MSN for specific search phrases. So this should help generating some real human traffic to your site.

4. Of course the benefit of having links pointing to your site (without any requirement for reciprocal links) will offer some significant SEO (Search Engine Optimization) benefit to your site as well.

5. Our article pages also have features specifically designed to aid in further distribution of your article content by others, which we believe will in turn increase your site's exposure, as well as ours.

6. Something which is rare (if at all in existence anywhere else) is that our authors are able to upload graphics or images with their articles in order to further enhance the content of the articles. (As far as I know we are the only one currently in existence that offers this feature.)

7. The cost of this to you is zero. It is a totally free resource and will stay so for as long as I can keep it online. (Which should be for some time to come)

8. Last but not the least. We are expending significant time and effort to promote this site, and if you have articles (with links to your site) on ours. You are certainly getting benefit from our efforts as well.

Of course I am sure that there are other benefits which I have not thought of, however I believe that either way the the benefit should outweigh the effort to you as an author.

I am currently in the process of developing a very large scale (TOTALLY FREE) community page specifically dedicated to aiding people with finding, establishing and maintaining contact with others that have similar interests in things of an esoteric nature. This page will be fully integrated with the library for improved exposure of both sites. It is my belief that once this is completed, this will offer significant additional exposure to you as an author as well. SO WATCH THIS SPACE.
