[RESOLVED]How do I scroll text in the pop up notes?

Post by jennydog »

I have some large amounts of text in the LWB Notes and the Personal notes, but I can't see all the text and there seems no way to scroll it!

All I can see a mouse picture and a cog picture on the side near the bottom of the text box but I can't mouse over to do anything because then the text disappears.

This is driving me nuts! Any suggestions? I don't have a middle mouse button or a scroll wheel because I'm using a laptop.

Thanks

Hi Jenny,

The scroll wheel is the only way to scroll notes in the pop-up window. As you pointed out, it could not be any other way because the nature of pop-up notes is that they disappear when you move the mouse over them. In that case the notes would be behaving like a normal window.

In fact though you can open a normal window to view the notes in - just go to edit the notes and you will find that you can scroll throgh the notes using the scroll bar, or the up/down arrow keys etc. If you select the option "Always navigate to the selected card" you can view the notes for any card just by clicking on it.

Cheers,
Richard

Just a small note - I wasn't able to scroll through the popup notes with my trackpad. Many laptop trackpads have a feature that supposedly does what a mouse wheel does (scroll), usually activated by moving your finger up and down along the right edge of the trackpad. It did not work for the popup notes, however.

It wasn't a problem for me - I have a mouse that I plugged into the laptop. Just thought I'd mention it.
