In the meantime I thought of something you can try. Because you weren't able to uninstall in the normal way it could be that the Orphalese Deck Service is still running, and that this is preventing you from reinstalling. To make sure it is properly uninstalled you need to go into Services (Windows Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services) and look for "Orphalese Deck Service" in the list. If you find it then press Stop to stop the service. Then go to [Program Files]/Orphalese/Orphalese Tarot and delete the file DeckService.exe. After that you can retry the installation.

I haven't ever related this to the 2869 problem before but it could be an issue after the slightly messy uninstall so it is probably worth checking.
I shall try the above remedy, maybe thats the reason I was unable to uninstall the program and reinstall again.

Richard, I would like to thank you for this wonderful program. Its an amazing and versatile software and at such a reasonable price! :-) I've used it for almost 5 years and truly love it.

I shall post the feedback once I try the method you give.

Thanks Again. (H)
Hi, Sorry for not giving a feedback earlier. The reason being that it was not sucessful and I just left it at that.
Anyway, yesterday I just tried my luck, went to your website, downloaded the lateste version 8.11.1.2. I forced unistall the version 8.8 by using Revo uninstaller :D (Good freeware) and retried installing the latest Orphalese Software and Hey Presto!..Initially I was unable to reregister the product but tried again this morning and now my beloved software is working like a charm :biggrinm .

Thank you Richard.

Hi MinkMink,

I am glad you got it working. The good news is that you should not have that problem again in the future because the deck sharing service is now NOT bundled and installed along with the rest of the application. People who want to share their decks need to download and install a separate program. It didn't seem to make sense to have people installing and uninstalling as service that in many cases they weren't using and in some cases were causing these installation headaches.

Cheers,
Richard
