Hello
I just downloaded Orphalese and the default background is black. I was able to load/develop an old spread and when I printed it the background used alot of ink. I tried to change the background to white and it won't change when I clicked on the apply button.
Help.
Thanks - Denise

Re: How To - Change Background
Hi Denise,
You can set a general preference for a default back (General Settings tab >> Background tab), and also deck specific preferences (Current Deck Only tab >> Background tab). Make sure you don't have some deck-specific preferences for the deck you are using, because they will override your changes to the default background.
Hope this helps!

Actually I'm having the same trouble. The only way to change the color from black is to change it for the deck. It's not changing via the options for all decks. I don't have a deck preferences.

Re: Re: Re: How To - Change Background
Yep, Denise is right and so and you. I don't know when it got broken, but I know it worked a few versions ago, honest, guv. I tend to like black as a default background because it goes with everything and I don't ever print screenshots, so I didn't really notice it. This weekend I am going to release a beta of the next program revision which contains a few bug fixes and I will try to include this one too. I am sure it is just something silly that has got overlooked in code.
BTW, and for anyone else who is interested, this beta also includes Hebrew language support. I have been really excited about this ever since a user of the program offered to do the translation - it is the first right-left language that the program has been translated into. It is really cool to go to the appearance tab and select Hebrew as the language: the program updates in real time (as it does with all the other supported languages) but in the case of Hebrew this means that the on-screen elements such as text boxes, drop-down lists and even the main menu also switch to right-left mode, which is very interesting to see if you have only ever seen Windows from left to right!
