Hi Richard, just updated both my laptop & desktop to 8.7.1.1 and I'm not able to set a custom color, nor are the decks that have them showing the custom color. When trying to apply it, it lets you do everything and I don't receive any error, it just doesn't change the color.
It does let me insert a background image, just not change the background color.
Sorry I missed your post about this the first time around. I just uploaded a new version which tidies up a few things such as getting rid of the old help files, and I fixed this bug at the same time. It makes me wonder how long it has been like that, I guess I must have accidentally deleted a couple of lines of code at some point. I have all my favourite decks set up how I like them so I didn't notice it.
Hi Richard, finally had a chance to upgrade and play around. I can change the stock background color, but not the individual colors for each deck yet. It goes black when I select the "apply custom color" and I can't get it to apply anything else even if it shows that the background should be red, it's stays black.
It is definitely working for me, which makes me think something might have gone wrong when I was uploading the new version, perhaps one of the download links is pointing to the wrong place. Can you confirm the version number in the About box? It should be 8.7.2.2.
Ok, I had some time to play today, and if I use an image, I can change the color of the background, however if I don't use an image I can't. It's black, and that's all I can get it to be. Or whatever color I have set as the default.
I even tried messing with the permissions, but nothing helped.
I could try installing past versions to see when it stopped working if you'd like. I think I have copies of some of the older versions in backups.
Okay, I find this applies to me also. Using 8.7.1.1
I can set a color, which shows in the dialogue, but the background remains black, even after hitting Apply.
If I add an image and set a color, the image shows up, but the background remains black, as above.
Also, if I haven't used a particular deck for awhile, it "forgets" whatever I've set for background picture and it needs to be re-applied. It remembers the color, but still only displays black.
Sorry I took so long to look at it, but I misunderstood what the problem was earlier. I can often go for weeks using just one deck and that one doesn't have any background set on it.
I couldn't find any old copies, so don't know when this started. Anything I have chosen a custom color background for opens black. The only way I can change the background is to use the general one, or to apply a image, and then it will let me apply a custom color.
So the work around for this for anyone that wants one, is to create a teeny tiny image and have it centered, you can then change the background color, and all you'll see of the image is the dot in the very center.
