Hi Richard,
I have come across a new Deck which surprised me ( no bad thing to be surprised ) in that each Card of the Deck has a seperate image on one side and the accompanying text on the other side. The Deck in question is the 'Tao Te Ching Cards'.
Now it would be possible to OCR the text and put the text into the normal 'Pop up Notes'. (That's probably what I will do for the time being).
It would also be possible to create Two Decks, one for the images and one for the Text and to use the twin Deck facility in Orphalese. However that means that you need to hunt for the matching card from the other Deck all the time. Not very user friendly.
It just struck me that it would be nice to be able to have the text in the form of the simple images with a graphic from the one side of the card, on the Backs of each card and be able to right click the card to turn it over and read it.
There are now a few Decks around that have this format, so I thought it was worth mentioning as a possibility for the future.

Re: Seperate Backs for each Card
Hi, Greg :) I agree completely - I'm using the Tarot of the Secret Forest at the moment, and would love to have the facility to have the back image, which is a monochromatic version of the front, as the reversals for this deck.
Is there a way we could do that, O Orphalese God? :)

What you can do for this is create a new deck based on both sides of the card as a single image. I can't speak to the program doing it for you, other then including all the images, and matching, or running the two decks together, as Greg suggested already.

Re: Seperate Backs for each Card
Yeah, this is one of those things that sound easy because the request can be stated easily, but in fact from a programming point of view it would be a loooooooooot of work to do this. This is because it would touch on lots of aspects of the program's functioning. For example, the way the deck riffles when you shuffle in Free Selection Mode (with some backs inverted and others not), the way face down cards are shown in the various wizards and screen capture form etc. I think it would be too much work for the sake of one or two atypical decks, especially because by affecting so many things it is bound to create new bugs in regular operation. Sorry guys!

Thanks anyway :) never mind, it was a nice thought. Secret Forest will be a physical or upright only deck, then :) All good.
