Registration Problems-Uspecified Error

I have tired to registar the program with the unlock code I was sent. It returns an unspecified error.
I figured I needed to upgrade to the latest version, and attempted to do that.
However, it does not install or run on Windows ME --yes I am still running windows me -on this machine with no intention o upgrading it. (i have another computer for other stuff-with no internet connection)-

Please advise? I'm crossing my fingers hoping there is a work around. I am currently running version 7.6 I believe.

Hi Eladie,

You are right that the problem would have been fixed by upgrading, but I am afraid the bad news is that the program is no longer compatible with Windows 98. ME was basically a rebranding of 98, so that is also affected.

I will arrange to send you a refund, then when you do get around to upgrading you can register again if you want to. I understand your reluctance to upgrade now that Windows XP is no longer available, because Vista can require an expensive hardware upgrade too. It is why I am personally going to put it off until at least the middle of next year.

btw, in case you have been left programless by this, there is a link to redownload the last version that was Windows 98 compatible near the bottom of the downloads page, so at least you will be able to run that in unregistered mode.
