I am especially happy to be able to present the new beta, release candidate 6 for version 8.4 of the program, because it once again contains a working Deck Exchange. It has taken me a little while to configure the new server, but my own testing leads me to think it is working well. Over to you, deck lovers...
It also contains a couple of original features not yet seen in the DE. On the Add Decks page you can now see the thumbnail you want to include with the deck. You can also browse for a new thumbnail, because the 00 card isn't always the one which best portrays the flavour of a deck. When you change the thumb, the next time you go into the DE you can see that the thumb has updated (assuming you have the option to see your own shared decks switched on).
The very useful "Update Shared Deck" button I added to the Background tab of the Options form has now also been added to the Card Data form as well. See a typo in your notes? Just press the Update Shared Deck button to make sure it is fixed on the DE too. It is important to remember though that these changes you make when you are using the program won't get "published" to the DE until you actually log on to it.
What else? Oh yes, the new beta also lets you enter the OTZ as before without using a password, so you can go in and upload/download spreads and card data files to your heart's content.
As always, your feedback will be very welcome!
Richard
