How do I retrieve private messages?

It says I've got one new message but when I click on the My Messages link I can't get to it.

Hi AngelDancer,

You should be able to find them by clicking on My Messages. If you can't see the link to that (it should be near the bottom of the menu on the left of this page) you need to log in, or reload the page by pressing the Reload button if you are accessing the site via the program.

If you can't see any messages on the My Messages page you need to change the filter at the top of the page, where it says Show messages from the last X days. The default is 30 days. I expect the message is an old one, so try putting in 500 days or something.
