pop up notes

Post by Phyrehawk »

I recently upgraded to 8. Now I do notice that the popup notes are smaller and they cut off my personal note, which I admit are pretty lengthy. Yes I did find the previous ones unweildy because tey were so large. Is there a possibility that the pop ups will ever get a side slider so we can access lengthy notes?

Hi Phyrehawk, do you have a scroll wheel on your mouse? Try scrolling the wheel, it should scroll your notes.

It is true that there will never be a slider, and could never be one. Pop-up notes by nature disappear when the mouse leaves the thing that made them appear in the first place, i.e. the card. So when you enter another window, for example the pop-up note window which you want to scroll, you leave the card, and the notes disappear. It is like trying to see the light when the fridge door is closed.

The scroll wheel on the mouse seemed like a good solution (i.e. scrolling when the pointer is still over the card). Up and down arrows are already used to move the card, so they are not available. Neither are the plus and minus keys which resize the cards. I know the mouse is more intuitive for some people and the keyboard for others, and some old mice don't even have wheels, but there did not seem to be an obvious keyboard alternative.

Thank you both, a change of mice and it works fine.
