PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHARED DECKS

Post by Programmer »

This post is for the benefit of anyone who has been testing the P2P tool and who might have missed the thread of a week or so ago which concerned a bug which meant that the program was creating corrupt zip files.

The symptom is that you request a deck from another user but when it comes you find you can't open it because it is not a valid zip file. The problem is with the sharer's decks, not the requester.

If anyone added decks for sharing using the first or second betas their decks will have this problem, so it is very important to check your shared decks and make sure they are good. You can do this easily by selecting the option to show your own decks in the search results. Request one of your own decks and see if there are any errors (it will take almost no time at all to receive the deck because in effect you are just copying it from one directory to another).

If you find your decks are affected by this you can fix the problem by adding them again (using a more recent version of the beta of course). The good new file will overwrite the bad old one.

This definitely affects at least some users because I have seen the message as recently as yesterday.

Thanks!
