Windows 2000 XP pro and Netframework GRRR!

Post by Barb »

I upgraded to 2000 XP pro. When I download the netframework 2.0, it tells me I can't run it without verifying my system. Man, this is frustrating.

It's totally rediculous. Why Microsoft wants me to verify anything is a damn mystery to me. They can see what I am running when I am on their site! ARGH! So no Orphalese till I can figure this one out!

Oh yeah, hope the holidays were good and a happy new year to the members of OPT where ever you are!

Hi Barbara,

I saw this in my inbox a few days ago and replied to it - I didn't notice that it was a forum post. Did you get my email and did you get the problem fixed?

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Barbara, yeah to get any type of update from Microsoft without having to run everything manually you will need to verify your system. It is a simple process and I even had to call in once because of replacing a hard drive. I don't really like it but wadda going to do? Me I'm not ready to move to a Linux box but do feel my next computer purchase will be a MAC .-) although I'll need to dual boot to make sure Orphalese works right :o) Then again I might want to build my own which means M$ again LOL
