Is there a fast way to My Decks List?

Post by Dormouse »

Aloha, Richard!

When I click My Decks and the alphabetical list appears, it takes a long time to scroll from the A's to the W's. I tried various ways to speed it up: pressing the W key, using Shift, Ctrl, Alt, etc., + Home, End, arrow keys, etc., but nothing I tried works. Is there a faster way to move through My Decks?

7.5 works great, BTW! Thanks for the upgrade!

Thanks,

Hi Sue,

At the moment there isn't. I know that you have hundreds of orphalised decks so I can see how this would be useful to you. Navigation of the menu is really under Windows control, and I think the only keyboard control it gives you is with the up down buttons. The answer might be to add a Fast Find tool, perhaps on the existing Favourites (F11) form? I envisage something where you type in part of the name of a deck and the program shows you a list of all the matching finds. Double clicking on the list would launch the deck. What do you think?

Cheers

Hi Sue,
Just a thought on finding your decks faster. Do you have them broken down into sub-folders? I have mutiple layers, and even have a few decks in more then one place. It looks something like this. It makes going to them faster then when I had them all in one place.

Packs
All Packs
A Decks
BCD Decks
ect.
Main Decks
RWS Decks

I would also love the find option to load a deck. I did think while reading your post that there might be an easy way to convert the listing into a spreadsheet, using a Print Directory program I have. I'll have to try this out later. I'll let you know how it goes. Getting a list of all my O-Decks has been an quest for me :o)

I used this program, and it did work. I need to clean it up a bit but I was able to create a spreadsheet from the output.

Hey all,

There is a file called DeckCollectionData.xml in the C:Program FilesOrphaleseOrphalese TarotPacks folder that contains your deck information. You can open it in MS Excel and format it, remove columns you don't need etc.

Just as a side note, I have my decks sorted into:

My Decks
Cartomancy
Oracle
Tarot Full
Tarot Other (as in Majors only etc)
