Either this is a bug, a deliberate change in program behavior, or I just did something very, very wrong...
When installing recent updates, the program would remember my registration name and unlock-code, and would fill in those details for me when I was to re-register. With version 6.1.3, that didn't happen.
Fortunately, I had saved a copy of the email I received when I first registered, so I was able to re-enter that information, but it took me several minutes to find the old message.

Same happened to me this weekend twice, but guess it's not a bug, but deliberated behaviour. Been speaking with Richard, and he's very upset after the code cracking of version 5, so he's trying to make his best to avoid pirate registrations. I have my OT codes saved under lock and key, even ciphered on my HD, so it's only a minute to find them and re-type. I would recommend fellow users to have their registers handy and safe for future updates, since you're going to need that number often.

Hiya,
It is wonderful that Dominatrix has such faith in me, but I am afraid to say that this is definitely NOT anything deliberate.
The program should remember the users unlock name and key, so if anyone else has this problem and doesn't remember their key please email me at admin@orphalese.net and I will send it out. Meanwhile I will try to work out what is going wrong to create this behaviour.

I was just guessing, of course, but looks to me as something sensible as a security measure. I take really seriously all things related with computer security (four years working as an DSL technician helps). Anyway, I'm sure that keeping the register number safe and handy will hurt no one. If you're in need of an easy record-keeping program for this purpose (and other info of yours), I should recommend Notekeeper (http://www.tolon.co.uk/notekeeper). And if you look for extra security and free encryption, a nice choice is Encryptdrop (http://www.righteoustech.com). Both are free for personal use. Best.
