Tarot of Reflections

Post by Christine »

Hi All!

Just got the Tarot of Reflections from Lo Scarabeo - very interesting deck. I've scanned it plus included card notes from the LWB. However, to get the real feel of the cards, they're at a pretty high resolution and won't upload. I can split the deck into majors and suits (five files total) and probably upload them if there is an interest. Let me know if you want them.

Many Blessings,

Christine

You can shrink the whole batch in one go with this free progam which you can get from download.com:

Image Processing Wizard is a fast, reliable and easy-to-use software tool, useful for batch resizing digital pictures and quickly adjusting their quality and file size. Version 1.1 includes watermarking, using text or image. It is ideal for preparing pictures for digital photo albums or generating thumbnails. You can process very fast large amounts of picture files, with a few clicks and a very simple and easy to use interface.

You may then be able to add some cards at full scan.

Good advice. Nice graphic works need simple and useful tools. Best.

I tried downloading the Image Processing Wizard but keep getting errors when I try to install it. Apparently the file is corrupted or I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Christine

You can do the same kind of batch operations with IrfanView, another free graphics program. Dominatrix wrote a set of instructions about using it (including where to find it on the web), which is in the Articles section.

Hi Aurora,

Thank you for your kind response. I have the remaining deck scanned, zipped and ready (in 4 files). The minors are numbered using Orphalese convention beginning with 22 in suit order. If there is an interest, I'll upload the remainder.

It will mean moving the minors to the Tarot of Reflections - Major deck without renumbering. The cardnotes in the Major includes the minors. I would recommend renaming the Major deck to Tarot of Reflections and upping the card count to 78.

Many Blessings,

Christine
