Strange Square Fixed Images on Last Two Imports

Post by contemplativeTarot »

I added two new decks to my Orphalese Tarot packs directory today and when I open them in the application, they load with the fixed with of the round deck I was viewing when the software initially opened (331 x 331). I have tried to unfix the dimensions using the "change properties for this deck" option, I have tried restarting and rebooting. I have also tried editing the XML file that contains the PackInfo. Nothing seems to help. They always revert to the same fixed size.

Has anyone seen this issue?

Can you tell me how to resolve it?

I was able to resolve this issue so I wanted to share what caused it...

It has been quite some time since I've imported a deck, and the problem was caused by the way I numbered the cards. I did not include the leading 0 for cards 0 through 9... So they were numbered

0 instead of 00
1 instead of 01
2 instead of 02
etc.

I noticed that when I went into the Compare Cards view, I could not see the Fool card previewed when I selected one of the decks that I imported. As I investigated further, I could see the 'higher Trumps'. This is what led me to check the file names.

Once I renamed the cards to the proper naming convention, everything worked as expected. The cards were sized properly.

Thanks for sharing that. I tried to fix it so the program could set the size correctly for a zero card called for example "0.jpg" and this was no problem, but then there were other problems with that card and I figure it would take to long to fix it up everywhere.

What I have done (which will be in the next version when it comes out) is make it so the program doesn't recognise it as a deck if the zero card is named outside of the convention. That way it will show up in the My Decks list as a folder not a deck. At least this way the user will get an earlier clue that something is wrong and they might be able to find out where the problem is without so much trial and error.
