It struck me recently that it would be a very nice enhancement to have sound effects when dealing cards or when using a "Spread". It would be a really nice touch to enhance realism!
A nice swishy-click for normal cards, a clank when using I Ching Coins, a clack when using something wooden like the Ling Qi Jing wooden "Spirit Tokens".
Using a different "surface" (walpaper background) would also make a difference in what sound would be produced.
If there were a couple of standard sounds to use, and allow the Deck creator to include one that they thought more appropriate.
It WOULD be very nice!...
Just a thought, if you have time.

P.S. To enable this to work well it might also be necessary to control the speed of the Deal of a "Spread". For example the I Ching 18 coin spread deals too quick because the files are small. It would be nice to have a "Not faster than this" setting. Obviously with larger file size cards, it would not be possible to speed up the draw - except by the creator re-sampling the cards to a smaller file size.

Re: Sound Effects
Yeah, it sounds like it could be cool, although it is not something that I remember anyone else asking for. I am planning to bring out a new version when I get some time for programming in the summer. There are already a few things lined up for that so I will have to see what time is available, as you say. Perhaps the way ahead is to introduce it in a more limited way, e.g. having a few default sounds included with the program that the user can choose from (or choose no sound of course) and then see how people react to it. Including sounds with shared decks in the way background images can be included could wait for a future version if it proves popular.

Thanks in advance!
Hey - don't you know - I'm always pushing the boundaries! (Sometimes a little too far?)
