Cannot Upload a Deck

Post by Dormouse »

Is anyone else having a problem uploading? I'm having the same problem as yesterday: the progress indicator at bottom of Upload menu goes all the way across to the right side, then stops. It stays stuck there, nothing happens. Thought the problem might be with the deck, so I tried uploading a different one. Same problem.

Hi Sue,

I hadn't forgotten the problem you reported yesterday, and I have been trying to figure out what could be causing it. Please believe me when I say that it is as frustrating for me when I try to upload a deck and I have no problem at all, as when you try to upload a deck and the program won't let you. If I manage to repeat a problem on my machine I am 90 of the way to fixing it. Unfortunately without being able to repeat the problem I am left with guesswork.

I am going to try one thing now...if you are online now, could you try uploading a deck and let me know how you get on, whether it makes any difference?

Thanks

Richard

OK, this time the uploading crashed at about the halfway point, according to the progress indicator. (I miss seeing that of upload feature at the bottom of my screen with this newer version, by the way.)

I am wondering if anyone else is having problems uploading. So far, just me, huh?

Thanks for trying that...when you say it crashed, do you mean it just stop moving or did an error message appear, or did the program itself crash?

It would be nice to have a percentage indicator there, I agree, but I am pretty certain there was never one on the web page either :)

I don't know if it is affecting anyone else, I think that apart from you and me nobody has tried uploading any decks yet. I guess time will tell.

Although a three meg deck should not be a problem, when you get time, how about trying a much smaller deck - just a couple of cards or whatever? It might be interesting to see if it worked below a certain size.

Cheers!

Crashed was not the right term, the uploading got stuck midway, and the rest of the program works fine. No menus, no nothing, it just stops and stays there.

I'll try a 1-2 MB deck right now (9:23 HST) and see what happens. If this one gets stuck, I'll wait and see if other decks upload successfully.

Oh yeah, that thing is on downloads, not uploads, sorry.

Thanks so much, Richard,
Sue
