I think it is fixed...

Post by Programmer »

...The problem was on the server, to do with a configuration that I had not updated. You should find the deck download is working OK now.

There is still a problem with the Other File download though, but this is a bug which has just come to light and which I will fix quickly: basically the download tool only offers you the option of saving to your decks folder, whether or not the file in question is really a deck. The obvious workaround is to move it to your deck folder and then move it to wherever you want it to be. Related to this bug, the program asks you if you want to start using nicebackground.zip as though it were a deck...obviously just ignore this and choose no. Cheers!

Not really.

We have pinned it down to this: I can download ONE file of any type and then the Save button greys out no matter what.

So, I have to quit the program, open it up again, log into the deck exchange browser every time I download a file. I can ONLY download one file at a time without quitting the program and logging in again.

Are you saying that the server is only allowing a user to download one file at a time, or is that just happening to me?

Well it works for me now..

Just a thought....when you start the download...you have to wait until the deck has unpacked...first then can you download another...that is the only time I have seen save greyed out.

if you have the error after the deck has unpacked...then it must maybe be on your PC....but can't figure it out.

Hi Jambalaya,

It is certainly not meant to be set up like that. In fact, you should be able to choose multiple decks in the list and download them one after the other without reopening the download form (you can also select multiple files for preview).

Can you double-check that it is still happening to you? I got similar behaviour earlier on this afternoon before that server setting was changed. The program was downloading apparenty corrupted zip files which triggered an error message, but the save button did not get re-enabled when the error occurred. It would be interesting to know if you are still definitely getting this behaviour now after the server reconfiguration, if you close and reopen the program. It is working for Rhutobello and it is working right for me as well.

Cheers

Well....I think we have problems with downloading if you choose several at 1 time. 1 and 1 deck works nice...if you try several you have to hunt for the save box and that one is greyed out......so maybe you have to open several boxses if you want us to have several downloads at the same time:)

On the other hand, can't understand the use of this option...all files are small and the time you use to click on the second save button the first is down:)

I have tried several option to get the error reported.

I belive I have found 1.

If you in program option unmark unzip downladed deck then I get that greyout save option when i try to download deck from the new browser.

Can you confirm this, or tell if you try to download several deck at once.

Marvin,

Are you sure it stays grey once you click on the deck you want to download? It should be grey if nothing is selected in the list.

Cheers

Hi Richard,

Yes, it stays grey. If I log off and then come back in a day, then I can download one item, usually from the other file exchange....

But so far, no decks.

I Hope that this Helps,

Marvin
