Deck Exchange Browser

Post by jambalaya »

I browsed for all new files which is a feature I like in 7.2, and I like the previews too although they take a long time to show up.

When I tried to download some new backgrounds through this new browser, it defaulted to the Packs folder on my hard drive and gave me an error message about the files not being named correctly as computer files. I wasn't able to download them, and there seems to be no browsing facility to change the download location--it defaults to the Packs folder, no matter what the file is or where you want it.

So, now what?

Thanks.

I just saw the conversation between Richard and purple-scorp about the mapping not being there yet, so that answers my one question about the download location.

I still can't download the backgrounds though.

I can't download anything, not even a deck. The Save button is greyed out in the Save In pop-up box.

Hi Jambalaya,

The download button will probably be greyed out because nothing is selected in the list. This might be the case if you just resorted for example. Click any item to get the button back available.

I will check out the problem with the backgrounds.

Cheers

Richard

No, I have the deck selected and highlighted, and the name of the deck is written in the pop-up box. Same with the backgrounds.

Windows gave me an error message about naming files and I haven't had the Save option available since.

Okay Richard, I closed the program and reopened it, and then logged into the browser again. This seems to have solved the problem with the deck files, I can now download them.

The background files still have the Save button greyed out, and Dominatrix's icon files etc. I can't recreate the error message from Windows again, but it seems to think that it can't download the files because they are improperly named as computer files. They have titles with characters that are not supposed to be there I suppose.

Isn't that weird?

It let me download one deck, but now the Save button for decks is greyed out again. Again, I have the deck highlighted and its name is written in the Save In pop-up box but it won't let me Save it.

Very weird. If I have to close the program and then log in again everytime I want to download a deck, and can't download backgrounds at all, that's not too good.

My God, I am having problems. The one deck I downloaded, created an empty folder with the deck name, and then the zipped deck file was corrupted or invalid according to Windows. Everything worked fine in version 7.1, so it must be something with the new browser.

I am using XP home edition with service pack 2, and I have version 2 of NET framework if that helps.
