Hi Everyone,
If you read the blurb on the welcome page today you will see that I just went live with version 7.1. As I said on that page, I think it is appropriate because version 7.1 consists mostly of bug fixes rather than new features.
The same will not be able to be said of the version 7.2 beta which will be appearing shortly. This is going to contain some very exciting new features, at first relating to the Deck Exchange, but then also encompassing this Forum, the Spreads page, the CardData page etc. The model will be something like Outlook or any other email program, in that it is a web based application that runs on the user's machine. All the web pages that I mentioned above will be replaced by much more powerful client-side tools. Watch this space.
As of today I have also hiked the price of the program somewhat, it is now around 40 dollars, which puts it in line with comparable software (as if there were such a thing). This co-incides with introducing the reseller scheme which lets people make back some or all of their registration fee (or indeed more). Having thought about it a lot I think this scheme makes the end price of the program more democratic. People who can easily afford forty bucks will simply register and ignore the scheme, others can work at enthusing a couple of friends and thus end up paying less. I think everyone ends up winning. Anyone really interested in making a go of the reseller scheme should drop me a line. I can help by sending out job lots of free sample CD's etc.
Finally, the new 7.1 release includes a revised set of card notes for the Traditional Tarot, including reversed notes. Many thanks to Webweaver for undertaking the job of compiling them.
Cheers!
Richard

Yay! Can't wait to play :o) Wanted to also add that purple_scorp helped with the reversed card notes. Between us both I think we covered a good area of meaning.
Wonderful job Richard!

Re: Re: Version 7.1 etc
Ah yeah, I wasn't sure in the end who did what - lots of thanks and credit to you both!
Re: Version 7.1 etc
Downloaded it last night, without removing the Beta. My spreads were intact, everything went smoothy! No fuss, no muss!
The only thing I see wrong, is I can't get it to close everytime. But that I do believe is my pc,not the program!
Richard, you dear sweet young one...you make me so happy! .-)
Thank you to all who has helped!

Hey, what do you mean version 7.1 consists mostly of bug fixes rather than new features? The card-by-card spread option is simply amazing. I had been waiting for that for months. :)
