Email for Windows 98 users, with the new updates?

Post by Barb »

Is there any chance of us, Window 98 users, getting to use the email function with the new update?

I was reading the help file and was really wishing it could be an option!
Thanks,
Barbara

I´m on XP but I also can´t use the email function as my server needs authentic funktion and I can´t do it there :-(
Most provider in Germany only works with this option only and so no chance to send a mail out of Orphalese software.

I am afraid that Windows 98 simply doesn't support the method which is used by the program to send emails. If it could be made to work I would do it. Sorry!

Hi Andrea

Yes, this can be added - the user can have the option of specifying a password and showing that their outgoing mail server requires authentication. I have made a note to include it in the future.

Cheers
