Hi Richard!

Happy New Years to You,

I have a question for you. Can you have two installations of the OT on the same computer? One registered, and one shareware? I've been thinking about doing some more 78 to 97 card editing spreads, but when I attempted to do it in 6.5, it became a massive head ache...............

In 6.0, I could do this (huge spreads) fairly easily. I'm not sure quite how to do it (or if it can be done) with 6.5........................

Take Care,

Marvin

Hi Marvin

Happy new year!

You could run two or more copies of the program on the same computer, and they could be different versions. They would share a lot of settings because many user preferences are stored in the registry. If you set a default background colour of yellow, say, in one instance of the program then that would also show up as your preference in the other instance. With a bit of fiddling you could probably fix it so one was registered and the other not, but I am not sure why you would want to do this.

Re the spreads, can you try it again in version 6.5 and let me know specifically why you can't do it - what is it that stops you. I will take your word for it that it is a massive headache but unfortunately when I try to program the line SET HEADACHE = FALSE or SET HEADACHE = SMALL the compiler doesn't seem to recognise the syntax!

Joking aside, if you can let me know what the problem is I will do my best to fix it for you.

Cheers
Richard
