Yeah, I figured it was that. I'm just presenting the other side, which doesn't mean I don't appreciate your view. I live in a small, rural town too and I don't drive so I depend on the Internet for information. I sometimes click on names in the Deck Exchange list and when I see it I say Oh I looked at that already.
I've bought a couple of decks I saw here at Orphalese--Marco Polo, Animals Divine, Universe Cards. And I decided I didn't want a couple more like Baroque Bohemian Cats and the Adrian, so it's a good way to save money and avoid disappointment, and as you say to look at the entire deck before purchasing.
What I'm saying is that I don't think the program itself is an answer to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of tracking what an owner downloads. That's the owner's responsibility in the same way that it's the owner's responsibility to organize and track the other files they have on their computer.
Do you expect Photoshop to have a facility for tracking what brushes and shapes you download and whether you keep them or simply view them? No, since it isn't Adobe's responsibility. All programs pretty much have files or patterns or tubes or presets or plug-ins or actions that you can download for them, and the programs don't keep track of that, you do.
Or to take another example where a program is set up for major file downloads--does Apple have something where you can track what you've downloaded for an iMac? Do they include a way that you can track titles you download, if you have a physical copy of the song, and if you have deleted it after download, or marked it for future purchase?
No, that's something that an individual user sets up for him/her self, in a way that's practical for them.

Ah, I see your point now. Yes, I agree, it is the computer owner's responsibility to keep track of files.
I guess what I was really after was a visual cue that I'd already looked at the page. Most websites do keep track of which pages you've already visited. Usually, the link will change font colour (according to what font you've set in your Visited Links setting). For some reason, this doesn't occur with Orphalese.
