Beta 23 Nov Not Displaying Personal Card Notes

Hi Richard,

I started moving some text into the Reversed section of the Personal tab in the Card Notes. I got to about the 6th card and thought I'd go back and add a heading. When I checked the first card, no notes were displayed. I checked each card that I'd edited and no Personal notes were displaying for any of them.

I was adding the notes to the bottom pane (Reversed) section on the Personal tab. I checked in the personalcard.xml file and the notes were there. They just weren't displaying in the F6 frame.

Can you double check this, and maybe send me the file? It is easy to look at the wrong tab until you get used to it (I made this mistake several times while testing it, which is why I added the big blue labels).

Also, did you figure out the Activate button yet? This switches the pop-up mode between Personal and LWB. The Off/On refers to whether pop-ups show or not, according to the user's use of the F8 button to toggle them. There is a matrix of four possible states for pop-up notes, so I thought the label saying something like LWB (OFF) or whatever was the best way to illustrate this.

I just replied to about six of your posts without even saying hello...sorry about that!

There was another bug which you didn't spot which is that the Spread Wizard didn't show at all. I have fixed that and just re-uploaded it. I don't suppose anyone else had downloaded it, but in case anyone notices the problem it has been fixed in the latest version.

Hi Richard,

I am 100 positive I had pasted them into the right tab.....I must have.....as the notes appear in the PersonalCardData.xml file.....they just won't appear on the F6 screen.

I just downloaded your latest beta (6.4.3.10) and they don't appear there either. I will email you both the PersonalCardData and CardData files.

Hi Scorp,

Thanks for posting me those files - it didn't take too long to see what the problem was, something silly in my code. The nature of this issue is that if you don't have anything entered in the text area for UPRIGHT notes, nothing will appear in the area for reversed notes. Even if you just put a fullstop in there, the reversed notes should appear. The problem only came to light because it looks like you had started out doing the reversed notes and are going to add the upright ones later, right?

I have fixed this in the version I am working on at the moment, but I won't upload it for the sake of this becase there is an obvious workaround (the fullstop, or something more wordy like Notus Invertus Aparentis!! would also work as well and might be more fun).
