Not quite sure!

G'day Richard!

I'm not quite sure if it's a bug, but I've tried uploading a deck several times this morning, and about halfway through the upload, I get the dreaded red circle with an X and the following message.

UpdateCompletedCallback: An exception occured during the operation, making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details.

Am I doing something wrong?

Cheers,
Blackrose.

Hi Blackrose,

Well, it doesn't sound like you are doing anything wrong. When we were testing the upload and download of decks some people reported similar problems, so I built in an alternative download method. You can activate it either on the main Options form, or in the Deck Exchange by clicking on the Tools and Settings button (the cogwheels). In either case their should be a checkbox saying Use alternative upload method or something similar. You might find you have more success if you check that box.

Cheers

Richard

Thanks for the quick response, Richard. I've checked out the cogwheel button on the new Deck Exchange window, and all it gives me is a restore backup option. I've also gone through the Options and cannot find the checkbox you've mentionned. I am using the latest version of Orphalese (7.2.) Could you clarify where this check box is!? Sorry, mate... I've been on the slow side this week! LOL!

Cheers.
Blackrose.

Hi Blackrose,

Ah, it is quite natural for you to think you have the latest version because you obviously downloaded it quite recently. The last few weeks have been very unusual in that I have released a lot of small enhancements in quick succession. The current version is 7.2.3.11. (The full version always has four numbers like this - you can see which version you have by choosing the about option off the main menu).

I suspect if you haven't got the alternative option there you won't have it in the other place either, so I am afraid you are going to have to upgrade again.

If it is any consolation the program is not going to change now for a good long while!

Cheers

Richard
