Can't Paste My Description to Upload Menu :-((

While preparing to upload a deck, I tried to paste text into the Description field. It didn't work. Thinking this might be due to my text being overlong, I copied and tried to paste a small portion of text. That didn't work either. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi Sue,

I had trouble repeating this and then I remembered that you are using the alternative upload method. I see that there is no pop-up menu when you right-click the text area, but I still managed to paste some text using the Control-V key combination. Have you tried that method too?

Cheers

Richard

Hi, Richard, welcome back!

No, I'm not familiar with Control-V. Is that a command unique to Orphalese and listed somewhere in the TZ? If so, I'd like to know where, so I can go there are learn more stuff. (It may also be connected with MS-Word, and I'm a WordPerfect user.) Either way, thank you for the tip.

Sue

Hi Sue, It's a word-processor thing really, that has become a convention generally. In the old days of manually correcting typescript, editors would put a cross through a word that they wanted to delete, and if they wanted to insert some script they would write it above with a little v shaped mark indicating the point of insertion. So the X and V became associated with cut and paste operations respectively. Copy is Control-C but I think that is just for the first letter. Cheers :)
