Spread Creation Wizard

Post by Merlin »

Hi Richard,

I have a few Ideas for either a present of future upgrade of the spread creation wizard......

1) A Zoom feature. This will allow you to check alignment of the cards without moving anything.

2) When resizing, a feature to keep the relative card spacing the same.

(Now they tend to overlap other cards if you resize the cards in the spread or use the + - keys.)

3) A somewhat larger playing area, so that either larger, or more ornate spreads can be created.

4) Is it possible to see the grid, or have it as an option?

Thanks,

Marvin

Hi Marvin,

I think you are spot on with these suggestions. It wasn't until a couple of months ago when I tried to create a spread myself that I realised how fiddly it is. I plan to bring in one or all of these improvements, as well as being able to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the cards one pixel at a time.

Cheers :)

Can I second those requests. Also would it be possible to include horizontal cards or cards positioned at an angle in spreads? I'm thinking specifically of fan type spreads.

Thanks,

Stacey

Hi Stacey,

This is a feature a lot of people would like to see, the question is raised here every few months. It is something I plan to bring in one day, but it will involve changing a lot of the basic mechanics of the program, how cards behave, how they are moved etc. I want to wait until the program is very stable and there are no other changes outstanding first, then I can work on it over a period of time and get it properly tested etc.

Cheers

Richard
