Hi, Richard. I unchecked the box as you instructed. It uploaded to about 17. Then the indicator shot across to the far right and stopped, and at the same time the disappeared! No message, tho I could see faint dots above the letters Uncheck this box, etc. etc. as if text were there, with all but the bottoms of the letters obscured.

I'm off to fix a mai-tai, back here in a few ...

I think for some reason what you are getting returned is an error page, i.e. the default error page on the OT website, rather than a succinct error message. The first line could be mostly white space which is probably why you just see the tops of the second line of text.

I will figure out a way of displaying it to go into the next release (probably at the weekend now) and then we should be able to get a good idea of what is going on.

OK, then I will go ahead and up load Goddesses of the New Light through the Old Deck Exchange tonite. I'll have another deck ready for uploading this week-end, so will be available to help out again if necessary.

Just to let you know that I have made some changes on the server and I think I have the error message coming through all on one line now...maybe you can give a try with that new deck and see what happens (don't forget to uncheck that box so you can read the message - I keep doing that!).

Tried again today (Friday) per your latest instructions, Richard, but the same thing happened. The progress indicator travels to the far right, then hangs. No error message, no different page, no Upload Successful, no nothing. Just hangs there, with those tiny dots going across the menu.

I think it would be helpful at this point for someone else to try to upload a deck. The problem may be with my computer.

Not to worry, there are other cards up this sleeve...I completely agree with you that it would be useful if someone else could try uploading (it need only be a test deck - I can delete it afterwards) but in the meantime I think we can make progress on this. We are going to have to co-ordinate though because of the big time difference...

Tomorrow or the day after (Saturday or Sunday) I am going to upload 7.2.2 in the same way I did the last upgrade, without updating the version info on the server so the save button won't flash. This will contain a routine that writes the whole text of that message you are getting (that you can only see the tops of the letters of) to a text file in your Orphalese directory, which you can then send me. The trouble is, I am going to have to turn off the normal error handling routines on the server when you try to upload the deck, which will mean the text file will containing meaning full information about the error (instead of that bland sorry, an error has occurred message which people normally see - much nicer than a page full of apparent junk but less meaningful for me). So we will have to do it at the same time. What is your offset from GMT more or less - about minus ten hours?
