Housewives Tarot/Uwase too

Post by Barb »

I uploaded the Housewives Tarot. I tried to contact Uwase to offer her help in getting her file uploaded, but didn't hear from her.
I finished all my pop up notes on it, the entire little book worths, that comes with the kit! Whew!

This one is for you Uwase!

Hey Barbara,

I really did want to upload it but I seem to have issue with the uploads in general. I've had the file zipped in my Orphalese folder for 1 month (or nearly) now! I've had lots of work and no time to upload anything. This said, I'm glad you did it, I hadn't finished the Pop Up notes correctly so yours is even better value (I might crush my version for yours! LOL) And someone else uploaded my other deck that wasn't in yet: the Archeon. This said, right now, I go back and forth between the Housewives & the DruidCraft, my two faves so far!

Thank you again Barbara, and happy taroting! .D

Uwase,
I'm glad you came out of hiding/working to post! I never heard back from you, (I got your email from the all users section, and I thought you ran away! LOL!
Glad to see you are back! I had fun with the xml file. I just adore the Housewives Tarot cards!

Barbara,

Tell me about it! I adore it as well! I find it really fun to use (as in it is witty), darn accurate and the images both fit my traditional understandings of the cards and yet add a new 'modern' layer. I realize that it is actually the deck with the most modern take on most cards amongst my own, which is funny for a deck from the 50s (it's recent, but some may presume that times have changed to much since that idealized period). This said, one of the reason that attracted me to it was that I use to be a huge fan of Nick-At-Nite (on Nickolodeon) when I was in the States. From Mister Ed to Patty Duke to the others (Get Smart is still one of the funniest shows I've ever watched), so it wasn't that hard to feel the card in that sense. My grandmother also had this book on 'Women's guide to living' (which could have been 'The Housewife's guide to living') with hillarious comments like Never let your husband see you without makeup or Always compliment your husband on his performance in bed...! LOL
No, I'd never run away, I should have replied on the other hand (bad me!). But I wanted to take the time to do it right and didn't think I'd find the time to even send the deck by mail to you or something...!
Now I have to find a deck that isn't on the Deck Exchange again! LOL

Uwase (I posted an answer before, but it seems I'm getting more and more impatient because it was never proprely posted... 'Bad me'²)
