Hi Marvin,
They are both in the same place.
F6
Click on the LWB tab
Click on Allow Edits
and you should be able to edit them.
If not you may have run into a bug :o

Hi Shari,
There are buttons only for personal card notes, not for lwb......
It allows edits only for the personal card notes. You can copy from the LWB notes, but not write to them/edit them. I think it might be a win 98 problem.
Thanks for trying to help me,
Marvin

Hi Marvin,
As well as checking the Allow Edits box, you have to have a card out of the deck and selected. When no card is selected the edit boxes are greyed out, as is the checkbox. Could this be the problem?

Hi Richard,
I was using one of my editing spreads. All of the cards were out, and I was trying to edit the deck one card at a time.........

Hi Marvin,
When you open the Card Notes form there should be a long black box at the top telling you what kind of pop-ups are appearing in the program at the current time. Immediately below this you should see an area with two tabs: LWB and then Personal. When you click on the LWB tab, you should see that the blue label underneath it says LWB (CardData.xml).
This is the tab you use to edit the LWB notes. Could you let me know if you don't see the tabs or if they are there but disabled or anything? Maybe you have been selecting the LWB tab without realising the significance of it - perhaps I have made the tab pages look too similar?
Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,
They are all there, but where in the personal notes the boxes turn white and allow you to edit the text, in the LWB section they remain tan. They allow you to copy the text, but not input anything.
My efforts were geared toward setting up the LWB card data so that you could do readings with it. Right now, you can only do readings with double ended cards that have no reversals.
I was also revamping the runic decks so that they looked more like cards, rather than tiles/stones.......
I hope that this helps.
Thanks,
Marvin

Hi Marvin,
Thanks for that. Two questions: when you are on the LWB page and the text area is tan, and you have a card selected, 1) can you see the image of the card and the inverted image in the two boxes on the left of the text area, or do they stay black? and 2) what happens if you try to use the Allow Edits checkbox at the bottom right. Is the checkbox there, is it enabled, does it make any difference? (OK, that last was more than two questions!).
Cheers
Richard

Hello Again Marvin!
I didn't give you time to reply to those, but I think I have worked out what the problem might have been.
I have just uploaded a version 6.5.1 which I think fixes the problem. I have also taken away the Allow Edits checkbox altogether. That has been there since before the days when there were pop-up notes in the program. It made sense to have it when people used the form all the time to read their notes, to avoid the danger of accidentally erasing anything. Now that the form is only used for editing I think it is not really necessary and just makes the program harder to use.
You won't see the program flash at you in the normal way, even though this is a new release. I thought that would be a bit too much coming so soon after the last release. Instead you can download it from the Downloads page here in the OTZ.
Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,
If I understand you correctly, there is no allow edits button on the LWB page. That could have been the problem. When I clicked on the one on the personal notes page, of course nothing would happen.
I'll download 6.5.1 and try it. Then I'll let you know how it went.
Thanks,
Marvin
