Anyone seen this bug?

This is a strange bug I noticed the other day. You go to return a card to the deck by dragging and dropping it, the card is reabsored correctly into the main deck, but the whole application goes to the back, so it appears behind any other Windows applications that you happen to be running.

I think it might be down to a combination of Operating Systems and .NET versions - has anyone else spotted this happening?

Cheers!

Nope, I have had this happen at other times. Like when I've alt-tab into another program and come back into Orphalese and then say closed the reading notes. But it didn't happen when I tried this.

Hi Richard.

I have seen this bug several times this morning.

I'm using the latest version of 6.5 beta. .NET version is 1.1.4322.2032, and I'm on Windows XP SP2. (Will dig deeper for versions and configurations if that would help.)

I have OTZ open and maximized, and a smaller non-maximized window open in the background. If I drag a card back to the deck, the smaller window takes focus. It's easy to click back to OT because of the comparative sizes of the windows, but I can see how it could be more irritating if OTZ was not open or was smaller on my screen.

Hi Cowhead,

This is one of those frustrating bugs because it only happens from time to time, and there doesn't seem to be any way to repeat it. In the version that I am working on at the moment I have just added a couple of lines of codes that should explicitly bring the tarot application to the front when the card goes back in, but of course there is no way of knowing whether this has fixed anything :(

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard.

I have not experienced this bug, maybe because I have not updatet the .NET Framwork on my computer.

Hi Richard,
I wanted to let you know that I used to see this when using a program called tiny spell. It sits in my system tray and beeps whenever you miss spell a word. You can then click and have it fix what you miss-spelled. Up until this version it would cause what I was working on in Orphalese to lose focus and it never quite worked right with Orphalese. As of the latest Beta, it now works perfect AND I don't lose focus :o)

Just wanted to let you know!
