Hi Marvin:
I`m glad your medications are making you feel better.
As for the questions you asked: Does anyone mind if I include the spreads in the Spread Exchange into the OTZ Book of Spreads? This will make them available to everyone of the OTZ, Physically and Electronically. This Book-Booklet is ONLY for US (Members of the OTZ Community!)
Marving, I do not want any spread or article that I contribute to TZ in an e-book, or in any way published in the internet. They are already accessible to OTZ members in the TZ. I know your intention is good, maybe a little naive...in my opinion. As everyone that has been in the internet for a while or owns a website, already knows how the information is stolen and published again in other websites or publications. I had seen my website articles running free in MSN an YAHOO Groups.
Another member from OTZ, Josep Luis Albareda, already made a book with hundreds of spreads from books, internet groups, websites - including all my websites spreads - ALL. He included all the TZ spreads, without asking permission. He name the e-book as the Orphalese Spreads Book, but he distributed it from his website, and in YAHOO groups. It happens that I owned 2 Yahoo groups and I had to stopped him when he published the OTZ Spreads Book in my groups. I really had a bad time with this guy!!! I even removed him from my groups. But I know that he will continue to distribute the book, he is that kind of person that do not respect others intellectual property. Maybe some of you may have already the book!
The law of internet copyrights says that if you want to publish other people intelectual property, you need:
- Written permission from the author. including his name and giving the author recognition is not enough...it is stated in the law.
- The Author email, website address, physical address, and telephone numbers must be published with the article... so anyone can contact him or her.
- Name of the publisher and its written permission, if it is from a book.
You can go to Goggle and find out everything about the Internet copyright law.
Take care,
Aurora
