Reading with 2 or more decks

Hi, I hope someone can clarify my problem. When I do a reading, I would normally use at least 2 decks at a time (for comparison purposes) .
After using this wonderful software for a long time, I just realized the following discrepancy:
First Instance - Lets say my first deck has got 78 cards and I use it for a reading, then using (Ctrl+Shift+N), I change deck and use one with 52 cards. In this instance there is no problem because all 52 cards are present when I check it in "free selection" mode.
HOWEVER:
Second Instance - This time, the first deck I use has got 52 cards, then using (Ctrl+Shift+N), I change deck and use one with 78 cards. In this case when I check it in "free selection" mode, there was only 52 cards out of the 78cards. Gosh I never realized this all this while

.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance for whatever help given.

That definitely sounds like a bug, thanks for pointing it out. I suspect that many users of the program don't use the two decks feature, either because they are more used to using a single deck or because they don't realise the program gives them that possibility. So it would follow that there might be bugs that are specific to working with two decks that haven't been noticed yet. I have a bit of extra free time this month so I will take a look at it and post back here.

Thanks Richard for your quick response. Be looking forward to whatever fix that can be done. This is whats best about Orphalese Tarot, not only its the best tarot software of its kind (I have purchased most if not all the tarot programs available for PC) but support given is superb...Orphalese Tarot wins hands down

.
I'm very happy that after so many years the programmer is still interested in making improvents to Orphalese Tarot. Thank You for your dedication.

Hi MinkMink,
I had a really good go and replicating this problem, but I couldn't get it to happen, even though I ended up with about eight decks, all of different sizes. Maybe you can take me through it step by step - I am sure it has something to do with your set-up being different from mine (for example, the things I played around with were shuffling after each gather, some of the cards being out, being in FSM at different moments, etc). I suppose it may even have something to do with the decks you were using, perhaps if one of them has 78 cards but the packinfo file says it has fewer or something like that. Could you try to reproduce it step by step and I will then do the same, and if that fails maybe you can send me the decks you were using to the administration at orphalese dot net address and I will try it with the those decks.
Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,
Thank You for taking the time to see about my predicament. You are right..I'm truly embarrassed to say that unknowingly I've messed up with the packinfo file

. This is because I've renamed some cards in a folder (cards that I don not wish to use in a reading). I did this for few other card folders as well. Without taking into consideration to change the packinfo! I took this for granted because sometimes the program will let us know by giving notices that say "Some of the cards cannot be displayed", when this happens I'll go make the necessary changes but I guess I overlooked the fact that I need to change the packinfo file when I rename cards in a folder. How silly of me
Sorry to have wasted your time due to my carelessness. All is fine, now that I've made the changes My trusted favorite software is once again "healthy". Again I wish to thank you very much for your kind assistance and for creating this truly useful and wonderful software

Blessings to you.

It is no problem at all! I am glad you are finding the program helpful.
