Free selection with a spread...

Is there anyway to use free selection with a spread? I want the spread positions and notes, but I need to select the cards for the position. I use Orphalese when trying to help someone with a reading.. and it would be nice to just have my spread notes in Orphalese instead of using paper .-)

Hi Shari,
I'm new to Orphalese as well as the Tarot in general...but this is the same question that I have too....so I'm just bumping this up hoping for some additional information. :)

It is a little unclear to me what you mean by using Free Selection with a spread. I personally use Reading Notes for all notes and positions on a specific spread or reading.

Hi Thomas,
~~Smiles~~ Sorry if I my question didn't make any sense...lol...I would like to be able to manually choose which card goes into each position of a particular spread. Do you know if this is possible within the Orphalese software?
~~hoping this makes more sense~~

It does make sense. When you choose a spread it normally goes on auto pilot. I see two ways to do it manually.
One. Selct the cards manually and place them in - let's say a Celtic Cross on the screen Save it as a reading afterwards.
Two. select the cards in the order they appeared in the reading. Put them back in the deck. with the last card first and son on, ending with the first card in the reading. Next - go to the My Spreads menu and choose the spread you like. Viola they are arranged in the correct positions.
Hope this becomes useful to you.

Hi Thomas,
Manually placing them into the spread position does not give you spread notes. Just card notes. I did try your 2nd suggestion, and that seems to be workable with a bit of work .-) If your not very careful when putting the cards back they end up out of order. It did work, so thank you for the suggestion! At leas now there is a way for me to make it happen :o)
