Stats Page Added

Hi Everyone,
I added the stats page today because I think the general response was that it would be welcome.
It is a bit more basic that it could be. There is no stealth mode, but the stats page is tucked away underneath Tarot Zone Home on the main menu, rather than being the first thing one sees on entering the OTZ, and the secton that identifies who's in da house requires a bit of scrolling to find. Wishy washy compromises? We make 'em, good ones.
Also, there is no chat feature - it wasn't really what I was proposing at all. For those who don't remember it, the program used to come with a kind of chat room that OTZ users could log into. It was a big resource drain on my programming time, because to get the the whole chat architecture working right is very fiddly. I never really managed it - it was always buggy and I couldn't see where the bugs were coming from.
My feeling at the moment is that there isn't much difference between using the OTZ and having Instant Messenger, ICQ or whatever running in tandem alongside it. Having said this, I have recently seen a couple of websites which have online chat rooms and it is clear that the chat room is being hosted by a third party. It is a piece of lego that you can stick on a website. I am not sure what it costs to have this kind of arrangement. Anyway, the OTZ is a website, so if there was a lot of demand for the chat thing then we could get that piece of lego too and stick it in place and I wouldn't have to worry about making it work. But I am still not REALLY convinced about the need for it.
Also in that thread a couple of people mentioned a reading room. That sounds good. What might that be and how would it work exactly? Answers on a postcard please!
Cheers now,
Richard
