Hi all

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I'm hoping someone can help me figure this dilemma out.

I've had to reinstall Orphalese after my laptop crash out on me using a Version 10.3.2.3 file I had on my external hard drive, but when I got to the About screen it's telling me Upgrade Required The latest version is 10.3.3.3. You have version 10.3.2.3. and Visit Website for Free Upgrade. I downloaded it, (or so I thought) and I ran the update, just with the program as I didn't need the decks, it then tells me again an update is required, I now have version 10.3.3.1, so I uninstalled Orphalese and tried the other section with the full program, and it's still telling me an update is required.

I've tried three different download sections which I have done many times before through the last 11 years, I've done "One Click Upgrade (Binaries Only)", "Full Windows Installer Upgrade (No Decks)" and "Upgrade Only (No Decks)". It is still telling me to upgrade to the latest version and Visit Website for Free Upgrade. What is wrong, why can't I upgrade to version 10.3.3.3? I'm completely baffled by this, can anyone help me figure this out please?

I uninstalled the vers. 10.3.2.3 then downloaded the update and it worked .. but I did need to make sure I had totally removed the previous version..

Hi Carol,

I am trying to place where you might be seeing that "Upgrade Required" message. Do you think you could upload a screen capture with the message? It seems very odd that you should be getting that message when you already have such a recent version of the program installed. Also, are you sure the message is coming from the program itself? I have searched the source code for the expression "Update Required" and can't find it anywhere. There is a tool which lets you search to see whether an upgrade is available but it isn't ever compulsory. It makes me think the message must be coming from the Windows Installer. Like I say, a screenshot would help me know what is going on here.

OK, I found it! It is on the tool for checking updates (it says "Update Required" and I was searching for "Upgrade Required").

The problem was that I had set the version number on the website to be version 10.3.3.3 when in fact the latest version is 10.3.3.1. I have corrected that now so the check upgrades tool should confirm you have the latest version.

Many apologies for causing you to waste so much time with such a silly mistake!

Yes, it was under Register/Check for Updates, but I see now that it is showing in green that I have the latest version. Sorry it's taken a while to come back to you, all these days are bleeding into one at the moment.

Your help is always much appreciated. I love this programme, and was worried I'd have issues getting it updated. My favourite and only programme I trust for keeping all my card data together. Keep up the good work.
