User Profiles

A couple of things to mention about User Profiles in the new version:

There is a new menu item called "Orphalese Tarot Community". The collection of all user profiles and also your own preferences and profile can be found and edited on this menu.

Unfortunately the images that people had uploaded to accompany their profiles did not survive the move from the old server, so if you have a picture that you want other users to see you will need to upload it again.

Please remember to check your profile is up to date, especially your email address in case you should need to be reminded of your unlock code at some point.

There is also a new check box you can tick to receive or opt out of news about the program. The mail shot I just sent out is only the second in eight years so this is not something you need to worry about happening too often!

Hi Richard, I couldn't find a way to upload or insert a url for a profile image. Possibly it's not active?
Also maybe you want to add some of the slots for Social Media like facebook, twitter, etc. <:o)

Thanks!

Hey WebWeaver, long time no see!

Just to check we are not at cross purposes, I meant the profile pics that you can see in the program itself, not here on the Forum. I didn't really make that very clear, did I? At the moment having profile pics isn't activated on the Forum but I can't see anything wrong with that so I will probably get it set up soon.

The whole Social Media thing...it is something I have been thinking about on and off for helping to promote the program but personally I don't have accounts on any of those networks, I always actively resisted it because the whole thing just looks like a big waste of time to me. I know you could say that about anything and it probably just confirms that I am an antisocial old codger... maybe I will have to think about it some more.

Ah, yes as I read what you posted, it is clearer that the avatar is about the program, not the forum. I however took it for the forum :/

The social media thing isn't necessary, it is somewhat easier to get to know someone. I know quite a few people who feel the same way. For me I use those more then the chat messengers, however I know those are part of a standard install.

Thanks!
