Duplicate Spreads Uploaded

I have been aware for a while that the uploading of spreads was not working quite how it was supposed to. This has been fixed now so that when you upload a spread, if it is the first time you have uploaded it then it is added to the list of available spreads. On the other hand, if you have already uploaded a spread with that name then it should overwrite the previous one (this is the bit that wasn't working before, so we were ending up with lots of duplicate spreads from the same people).

I have also fixed the list of spreads that have been uploaded in the last few months, but weeding out all the duplicates and just keeping the most recent file in each case.

If anyone uses the spread upload feature in the next few days or weeks perhaps they could double check to see if everything is working ok now and let me know if not.

Thanks!

Ok here is my experience :-)
There are 3 copies of my Dark Moon Spread. I uploaded the most recent copy (it did have changes), it did replace one of the copies, however the upload date didn't change. The correct copy of the spread is the one dated: 1/21/09. The other 2 should be deleted.

So it appears to be working, but there are still duplicate spreads <:o) lol just what you wanted to hear I'm sure.

Hi Shari,

Just to confirm, the one that is dated January is actually the most recently uploaded one, even though there is an apparently later one dated May? I will have to check but it is quite likely that the date is not getting updated along with the rest of the details. I see that the other one is named "Dark Moon Spread", not "09 Dark Moon", so it would not have been overwritten in any case. I ought to add a delete button so people can manually delete their own uploaded spreads.

Cheers,
Richard

Yep the one in May is a later version then the one from January. I'd say it isn't updating, or the date shown is the "original" date, and not a modified date.
