Hi All,

I have another B&W deck that ya'll can get and color called The Vachetta Tarot. I've tried to upload it (even on my wife's DSL connection!) but it's too big. If anyone wants a copy we will need to put our heads together and come up with a way to do this! I don't want to resize it as I don't want to risk the look of the Dilbert Tarot. It' a very beautiful deck, could be eye poping if say Dominatrix colored it! (no I'm not volunteering you for anything Guy!) All I'm asking for is ideas.

How about zipping it into two or more files? Then upload as Vachetta Part One, Vachetta Part Two, etc...

There may be a better way, but that *should* work, I would think.

Do you like the Golden Tarot? I figured that you would like the style, especially the way you like the older, mature decks!

Buried under life is a good description. Buried under *work* is closer to the truth, but I won't complain. Ooops, I just did. After reading Christine's note, though, I can see things could be much worse. (Hang in there, Christine!)

Yes, I really like the Golden Tarot. I bought the printed US Games version when it first came out. It's beautifully produced. The box is much more substantial than the norm, and cards have gilt edges. It's just a great *physical* deck to hold and work with, in my opinion. And, as you know, I love the old imagery. I'm impressed at how seamlessly Kat Black was able to combine those old images to produce what is more or less a Waite-Smith variant, while still keeping the antique feeling.

This earlier version looks really interesting -- I have read about it, but had only seen parts of it. I can see that she made some major changes for the printed deck. (As I recall, she got ripped off badly. Somebody simply stole the images and used them to produce a commercial calendar, and she got no credit or payment. I believe that's one of the main reasons she reworked so many cards -- she wanted to make the printed version significantly different from her stolen original version. You probably already know this. Sorry... ) I'm not familiar enough with this older version to know my preference yet, but it will be fun to do the research. Thanks!

Did you know that her ex got her into that style of artwork originally? He does it by trade.
