8.4 Beta Updated 27 October 2007

I just uploaded the latest beta of version 8.4. It fixes the bug which was mentioned with random number generation and also includes lots of improvements to the Add Decks form of the OTZ.
I know it is kind of hollow sounding at the moment, while the DE is unavailable, but the program is really taking shape as a tool for editing and publishing tarot decks, complete with backgrounds and so on, and with very little work on the part of the user (apart from the BIIIIIIIIGGG job of creating the deck in the first place, of course!).
I hope that some users will get ready for when the DE comes back online by preparing a little collection of decks to share. This was already happening with the beta up to now, so there is every reason to believe that when the DE comes back on line it will hit the ground running.
Another enhancement I am thinking of is to show the top downloads. The program reports back to the server each time a deck is exchanged in order to be able to show the users which decks exchange quickly and which slowly. The same information could be used to show a Top 10. of number of decks exchanged. No prizes, just kudos ;-)
