Can't register

I tried to use the beta version, on a computer where I was sucessfuly using an earlier version, and it will not let me register, saying that I already have 3 computers regestered. That is true, and I had purchased the option to have 3 computers registered in April of this year. However, it will not let me unregister this computer and it will not recognise registration on this computer saying that I need to unregister a diffrent computer. In an attempt to fix this I removed the Beta version and loaded the latest regular version, but it is still not letting me register.

Hi Sapphml (how do you pronounce that, by the way?),
As you have seen, in the beta 8.4 there is a form which lets you unregister other machines that you may have registered the program on. As you know, you can only have the program registered on three machines at a time. This business of unregistering machines is the same thing that you can do at the moment on the "My Settings" page in the OTZ. Now that this forum is up and running, on a different server from the rest of the OTZ, I am planning to move all the functions that used to be available there into the program itself.
Basically, you just have to use that form in the Beta, or use the My Settings page in the OTZ, to unregister one or two of the machines you no longer use. This will free up a slot for the new registration. It won't let you unregister the machine you are on, because that one is obviously still in use.
Does this explain it, or am I missing the point maybe? It would not be the first time

Hi,
Yes, the problem is that the computer that I am using, my home computer, (the one that it will not let me register and will not let me unregister) is the computer that I am wanting to register.
The program will not recognise this computer as registered when running the program.
It is listed as one of the ones registered, when it tells me that I have all 3 registrations taken up. (Other two are my laptop and my office computer, both of which I want to keep registered)
It will not let me un-register this computer.
It will not accept my atemps to re-register this computer.
Thanks

Hi Sapph,
OK, thanks for clarifying that. It sounds like a bug. If the machine is registered the program should recognise that, so it sounds like something is wrong. What you are saying is that you have a tick against the machine you are using, but it won't let you see any more than than three decks. Is this right? I know it sounds like I am being pedantic, but I want to make sure - you definitely have three ticks as opposed to crosses against your three registered machines, including the one you are using, and it won't let you run the program normally?
This form is a new feature in the beta edition so it could well be that it is not working 100% yet. Maybe we should take this "off-line" and I can look into the specifics of it. You can write to me at administration at orphalese dot net, let me know what your user name is (if it is different from your nickname in this forum), and I will try to work out what is going wrong.
Cheers,
Richard
