Cleaning up

I don't know about anyone else, but my whole Orphalese was a mess. After I had the trouble with loosing some of my carddata files, I need to restore from a back up, and I realized how screwed up my files were. I use both a desktop and a laptop, and sometimes I'm on both (lol). So I had decks on one system I didn't have on another, and card data files with information on one and not on the other. I also would forget I had made a change to a deck on my laptop, open my decktop deck, and if I sync'd then, the desktop would overwrite the laptop because the file on the desktop was newer as I had opened it after the laptop file. CONFUSING! I decided there was no way I was going to be able to go deck by deck. The time involved would be too much. More then if I just recopied the text from the book. Anyway I've been stuck on how to fix this problem and NOT have it re-occur. I found something yesterday, so I thought I'd share in case any of you are in the same boat.

Well it works! As long as both computers are online, one updates the other in real time (just about) I'm not sure I'd want to use this if I had dialup, but the carddata files are fairly small so it doesn't take up too much data stream. If you do something on one computer the file is changed on the other. So no more worrying about working on my laptop, and it not being on my desktop. And if I do leave my desktop off, I just need to remember to turn it on before I start doing any changes, which is much easier then remembering what it was I changed. If I do run into any trouble I'll let you all know. As it looks this is exactly what I was looking for. I have kind of quit using Orphalese because I wasn't sure how I was going to keep my files clean. Now, that all behind me... so watchout .-)
